Building description
The building was constructed and opened during 1937, the building comprises 4 levels construction, situated south off the main quadrangle and between the Old Library and East Theatre buildings.
The building is shaped in an octagon plan layout, comprising lower basement, basement, reading room level and upper gallery levels, the access from the north ground floor level raises via steps to the upper gallery level as the main entrance to the premises, from inside the building steps and staircases in a number of locations go down to all lower levels. The main entrance frontage, porch and doors have steps and no ramps that currently preclude wheelchair access.
