Job Title: Academic Registry Intern
Contract: 12 weeks starting in June 2024
Rate of pay: A salary of €444 per week will be provided as part of the internship
Contract: Full time (35hrs per week)

The Purpose of the Role:

To support the Academic Registry, which supports the student administrative lifecycle from Applications, Admissions, Student Finance, Record Management, Examination Management, Graduation ceremonies to managing day to day queries through our Service Desk in the Watts Building.

Context:

The post holder will provide support to the Academic Registry team, staff and students as required. The role reports to the Service Desk Manager (or nominee).  The role-holder will work as part of a team and will share the responsibility for providing a professional, efficient, and welcoming service to all students, staff, and visitors to the Academic Registry, with the rest of the team.  

Main Responsibilities:

Service

  • Interaction with the Trinity student and staff population, and the wider public assisting in a wide range of queries concerning the student life cycle.
  • Assist students with the online registration process.
  • Produce and issue student ID cards.
  • Ensure that the Academic Registry is a welcoming, diverse, and supportive environment for staff, students, and enquirers of all backgrounds.
  • Work on projects and deliver on outputs as outlined in the work plan.

Systems

  • Use Information Technology daily g., MS Office word processing, spreadsheets, database, email, internet.
  • Carry out routine record keeping, filing, photocopying and data entry to ensure accurate records are

Clerical

  • Provide routine administrative and/or customer support activities to contribute to the smooth operation of the team/department.

Attention to Detail

  • Provide support to enquirers using attention to detail skills and a customer service focus.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR legislation.

General

  • Any other duties that arise from time to time as directed by the manager or The intern will be given support and information regarding the completion of these tasks on an ad hoc basis.
