Ensuring Inclusive Education at Trinity College Dublin

Overview

Trinity College Dublin is committed to fostering an inclusive environment for all students. Building on the Edinburgh Report's insights, this project aims to strengthen the implementation of the Learner and Education Needs Summary (LENS), ensuring consistent, effective support for disabled students.

Objectives

  1. Streamline Adjustments: Ensure LENS recommendations are effectively implemented across all schools.
  2. Enhance Accountability: Establish clear roles for the Disability Service, Schools, and stakeholders.
  3. Upgrade Systems: Modernise IT platforms for better adjustment management and reporting.
  4. Improve Accessibility: Prioritise campus-wide enhancements aligned with Universal Design principles.
  5. Deliver Training: Equip staff with skills to support students, including those with invisible disabilities.
  6. Engage Students: Incorporate student feedback to refine LENS processes.
