Odhrán joined the Trinity DisAbility Service in October 2024 as Project Administrator, having provided support throughout the summer as the Executive Officer. Before this, he worked within the Sociology Department as the Undergraduate Programme Administrator and also served as Company Manager of Ériu Dance Co.
Odhrán's role as the Project Administrator for the DisAbility Service includes overseeing project implementation, coordinating with departments and external partners, supporting budget and resource management, organising events and initiatives for accessibility, and providing administrative support to leadership. He ensures that projects align with the service's strategic goals and monitors their progress, contributing to a more inclusive and accessible environment at Trinity. Odhrán's key projects for 2024-25 will include managing the Summer Internship Programme, organising Disability Week, celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the DisAbility Service, and supporting student partnerships to enhance collaboration and accessibility efforts at Trinity. These initiatives are central to his role in driving the service’s strategic goals forward.
Odhrán holds a Research MSc in Social Science from the University of Amsterdam and a B.A (hons) in Sociology and French from Trinity College Dublin. His postgraduate research focuses on Medical Anthropology, with an emphasis on sexual health, plural understandings of the body, and the philosophy and politics of knowledge production. From 2021-2022, he led a project at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute aimed at enhancing the understanding men and boys' sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as best practices of health service delivery, and sits on the international CoP network of 'Engaging Men and Boys in SRHR.'
Odhrán is passionate about social justice, and is committed to transforming misunderstandings to understandings and fostering positive wellbeing through movement.
