ANTI-BULLYING GROUP reaches new heights - in Liberty Hall!

The Anti-Bullying Group were the guests of SIPTU last Saturday for their monthly meeting. They were offered the use of the NEC Conference Room on the 11th floor, the home of the SIPTU Executive. The view over Dublin was tremendous!

The main business of the meeting was to workshop the ideal support for the group - what was needed to allow the group to function how it wants to and in line with what it wants to achieve in the future.

July 2008 meeting in Liberty Hall

After the meeting, the group was taken to the viewing platform on the roof of what was once Dublin's tallest building. Not only was the meeting very productive but also an exciting visit for all the group.

Four members of the group are attending the IASSID conference in Cape Town. They are Bill, Marie, Paul and Stephen. The mini workshop on the 28th June at STEP Enterprises, enabled the group to decide exactly what they wanted to say. Click here to see an outline of the presentation.

Thank you to HOCHTIEF, Ireland, who have held a number of fund raising activities to support Stephen to attend the conference. Stephen is their longest serving member of staff in Ireland (nearly 11 years).

The pub quiz was a great success - over 16 tables and a very enjoyable night! Click here to see what HOCHTIEF Ireland are doing!

Stephen made a presentation to the Hochtief staff on Monday 14th July. Well done!

In 2007 we ran 2 successful workshops at the National Institute for Intellectual Disability, Trinity College, Dublin. Over 25 people attended each workshop but we still have a waiting list of over 100 people wanting to attend our workshops. 2008 has started well with 2 successful workshops - one at NIID in Dublin and the second at Malta Services in Drogheda. This was the first time the group presented outside Dublin.
