In the Senior Fresh year, students taking 40 ECTS in English (Single Honors students) must complete all eight of the modules listed below. Joint Honors students taking 20 ECTS in English must take four modules, two in each semester, and must take at least one of the *period-based modules in each semester. In Michaelmas term, the period-based modules are Writing the Body 1690-1800 and Reading the Victorians: Literature, Culture, History; in Hilary term, the period-based modules are British Romantic Literature and Modernisms: Making It New.
