Transport & Location

Sustain takes place at Trinity College, located in College Green in the heart of Dublin. Getting to Trinity is easy, whether you arrive by train, bus, LUAS, or DART.

Arriving from within Ireland

Please refer to the college website for information on arriving by bus, train and road.

International Arrivals

Please refer to Dublin Airport for advice on transport links between Dublin airport and the city centre.

Travelling within Dublin

The DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) runs along the coast from Malahide or Howth in the north of Dublin southwards as far as Greystones, Co Wicklow. The closest stations to Trinity College are Pearse Station at the south side of college, while Tara Station is to the north edge of college.

The LUAS (Dublin light tram system) may be useful if you plan to stay in the suburbs. The LUAS has two lines that connect suburban Dublin to the city centre. The red line runs to the east as far as Saggart and Tallaght, while the green line runs to the south east to Cherrywood.

The bus system in Ireland is quite efficient for travelling to places not served by train or tram. Dublin Bus provides a reliable bus service around the city, with most stops having real-time display boards with updates on routes and services.

Finally, driving in Dublin is not for the faint of heart and you will want a good map as well as a co-pilot. If you do arrive by car, the area around the Main Gate (east side) of Trinity has several expensive carparks. Please also be aware that due to ongoing LUAS works around Trinity you should allow plenty of time to arrive if you are travelling by car, as it is likely that you will need to navigate around diversions put in place for motorists.
