Prof Imelda Coyne Delivers Opening Keynote at Council of Europe Conference

TRiCC Director, Prof Imelda Coyne, delivered the opening keynote at the Mid-Term Review Conference of the Strategy for the Rights of the Child (2022-2027) at the Council of Europe on Friday 4th April 2025.

Speaking after the conference, Prof Coyne said:

I was deeply honoured to participate as a speaker in the session on children’s participation in decisions about their health, as part of the Mid-Term Review Conference of the Council of Europe’s Strategy for the Rights of the Child (2022-2027). This session brought together passionate experts and advocates, all dedicated to advancing the critical work of empowering children to have a voice in their health decisions. Together, we must continue to build systems and practices that respect and amplify the voices of children in matters that impact their lives.
