TCB Seminar Series: March
Join us for the March seminar in Trinity Centre for the Book's 2024/5 Seminar Series, which brings together libraries, publishers, book collectors, and activists. This month's seminar will be hosted by the National Print Museum, with the following event description from our wonderful hosts:
The National Print Museum is delighted to host an instalment of the Trinity Centre for the Book Seminar Series.
Since the transformative days of the European Renaissance, printing has been at the centre of social, political, and cultural change. The printing of text and images has radically transformed the way generations began to see themselves, and it has galvanised society to question, to challenge, to educate, to learn, and to create. The National Print Museum safeguards and celebrates this history so that everyone may know and be inspired by the extraordinary impact of printing on our lives.
Join Museum staff to learn more about the Museum's beginning, collection, and mission. The short talk will be followed by live demonstrations of the collection, conducted by the volunteer compositors and printers who make up the 'Chapel.'
Free admission, booking essential. Please note this is a standing event.
