Jill Woodnutt

Jill Woodnutt is the INCLUDE (Inclusive Network for Collaborative Learning, Understanding, and Development in Education) Coordinator at the Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities in the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin.

The INCLUDE network was created as a forum to facilitate knowledge exchange among various higher education institutions that provide courses and conduct research focused on students with intellectual disabilities. The INCLUDE network aims to improve our understanding of how to develop and sustain a course for students with intellectual disabilities nationally through knowledge sharing, community of practice workshops, training and research.


Jill has a H.Dip in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters degree in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology from Utrecht University. Jill has extensive experience working in various settings for inclusive education including early intervention services, schools, adult disability services, youth groups and higher educational institutions. Jill’s research interests include student wellbeing, creating accessible learning environments, inclusive teaching practices and strategies, professional support and development and art as social action.
