TCPID Research and Innovation Hub
The Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities (TCPID) drives groundbreaking research aimed at transforming inclusive policies and practices in education and employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to be a beacon of excellence in research and innovative approaches in the area of intellectual disability. TCPID enjoys a robust international and national reputation for pioneering research in areas such as marginalisation, special needs education and employment, transitions, student voice, social drama, and the autism spectrum. In TCPID, we cultivate dynamic research partnerships among academic and professional staff, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our extensive international outreach in both academic and professional realms is one of the cornerstones our mission. At the core of everything we do is student and graduate voice and we strive to lead the field in the participatory and co-research with and by students and graduates. Research is the heartbeat of our Centre, driving our vision and underpinning the ongoing development and enhancement of our programmes and initiatives, influencing perception and policy and improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
