TCPID Annual Business Partners Meeting
The Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities held it's annual Business Partners meeting on Tuesday November 5th 2019. The meeting was held in the Trinity Long Room Hub and was packed to capacity. Attendees included representatives from both our existing business partners and companies who are considering joining the network. The partners were welcomed by Professor Damian Murchan, the Head of the School of Education. Following presentations by Dr. Mary-Ann O'Donovan and Marie Devitt, there was a very informative panel discussion with representatives from some of our business partners. The panel discussed their experiences of the TCPID graduate internship programme and how having one of our students or graduates working with them has had a very positive impact on their staff and on their company. The highlight of the meeting was a presentation by recent TCPID graduate Stephen Ryan entitled 'My Story'. Stephen's presentation was professional, moving and at times incredibly funny. He received a fantastic response from the audience. We are looking forward to another great year with all our TCPID Business Partners as we work together to create further exciting opportunities for our students and graduates and try to make a real difference within society by promoting true inclusion in the workplace.
