Physical & Mental-Health during & after pregnancy- Research Theme
The Maternal health And Maternal Morbidity in Ireland (MAMMI) Study is the only longitudinal study in Ireland dedicated to exploring women’s health during and after pregnancy. Between 2012 and 2017, we collected data from over 3000 women before and during pregnancy and at four timepoints up to 1 year postpartum. Data were collected on women’s general health and wellbeing, physical, mental and sexual health. Data were collected on intimate partner violence (IPV) in the postpartum surveys.
The 5-year follow-up study was completed in 2023 and the 10-year study is planned.
