Labour Augmentation - Research Theme

Augmentation of labour with synthetic oxytocin is one of the most performed childbirth interventions among women with spontaneous onset of labour. Using a mixed methods design, this study aims to explore women’s views and experiences of augmentation of labour with synthetic oxytocin, and to estimate the prevalence, and associated factors of this intervention among women in Ireland.
