Marta Ferriera dos Santos

M.Phil student, TCD

Marta is a History and Political Science graduate who is currently undertaking the M.Phil of Environmental History at Trinity College Dublin. With a deep interest in the concept of 'ecological imperialism', she believes this course will allow her to better understand the link between colonialism/imperialism and resource exploitation and economies, both past and present. Moreover, the qualitative and quantitative methods taught in the M.Phil will allow her to think about the environmental issues we all face today from an interdisciplinary perspective.
