Arnold Horner Photo

Dr Arnold Horner is a senior lecturer in the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy at University College Dublin. His teaching is on population geography, Europe, ideas in geography and cartography. His research interests include the history of cartography in Ireland, historical geography including landscape change and, more specifically, aspects of, and messages from, Irish maps 1750-1850AD. A continuing research project is the impact of the Bogs commissioners of 1809-14.
