The large umbrella of biblical studies encompasses a wide range of disciplines and inter-disciplinary approaches. We study the Hebrew scriptures within their Ancient Near Eastern contexts. Our publications and doctoral theses often focus on Second Temple Judaism and Christian Origins. Our teaching and research includes early Christian developments from the first century through to late antiquity. Our seminars is home to lively discussions about the composition and transmission of literature, interrogating Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. Hosting international symposia and welcoming international guests the Trinity Centre for Biblical Studies is a thriving home for the multifaceted cultural study of biblical traditions and their history.
