Jill Unkel
As Curator of the Western Collections at the Chester Beatty, I am responsible for the early Christian papyrus, European manuscripts and prints, and Christian manuscripts and bindings. My research interests cover manuscript illumination and iconography, the history of the book and early European print culture. I have curated a number of exhibitions at the museum, including Costume Parisiens (2013–14), Wicked Wit (2015–16) and Mystery of Mani (2019–20), with publications including Miniature Masterpiece: The Coëtivy Hours.
