School of Social Work and Social Policy International Scholarship Opportunity
The School of Social Work and Social Policy is proud to announce a scholarship for international (non-EU) applicants to our postgraduate taught programmes for 2025/26.
International Postgraduate Taught Course Scholarships
These scholarships are open to any non-EU offer holders to a taught programme in the School of Social Work and Social Policy for Michaelmas term 2025. There is one scholarship per taught programme valued at €3,000, applied to the reduction of non-EU tuition fees applicable to the first year for one-year programmes or split into two €1500 awards for each year of the two-year programme.
Who can apply?
Applicants who have non-EU (international) status and will pay tuition fees at the non-EU rate and who have submitted an application and have received an offer to any of the following taught postgraduate programmes in the School of Social Work and Social Policy (SWSP): Masters of Social Work, Masters of Science in Applied Social Research, Postgraduate Diploma/ Masters of Science in Applied Social Studies. Eligible applicants must have an offer to join one of these taught programmes by 14 April 2025 to be considered for the award.
Selection criteria
Applicants for the scholarship will be assessed based on academic achievement, and evaluation of the applicants’ potential to contribute to the overall TCD and SWSP community.
Application process
Submit a complete application to one of the postgraduate taught programmes in the School of Social Work and Social Policy prior to the scholarship deadline of 14 April 2025. Only applicants who meet the programme entry requirements will be considered for the scholarship.

Ireland Fellow Programme
The Ireland Fellows Programme is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs. The scholarship comprises course fees, accommodation and a stipend for successful eligible candidates in specific countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The MSc Applied Social Research is an eligible course for this scholarship programme. Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship offers successful applicants a remission of fees and a €10,000 stipend. Further information is available at the following link:
