If you have any access or assistance requirements for Orientation Week, please do let us know at transitionoffice@tcd.ie

Please read the information on this page carefully as it is all important for Orientation Week!

1. Health Screening

New students must complete TCD Health Screening Requirements. Failure to do so may result in you being withdrawn from your course and a re-admission fee will apply.

Go to the Health Screening page to download the Health Screening Booklets and follow the instructions in the checklist.

2. Garda Vetting

All students on this course must complete the Garda Vetting process before they will be able to register. Go to the Garda Vetting page to download the relevant forms, and follow the guidelines carefully.

3. Meet Your Tutor

You will have a College Tutor assigned to you in the first few weeks. You’ll be able to check the name of your Tutor in my.tcd.ie. You should reach out to them to introduce yourself, and they may also contact you in your first weeks at Trinity. Your Tutor will be really important for you during your time in College, so it’s important that you meet them early.

4. S2S Mentor Meet-Up

Your S2S Mentors are fellow students who will play a critical role in helping you to navigate your first year in Trinity. They will make sure you:

  • Get to know other students
  • Have a space to ask questions
  • Know your way around the physical campus and the online resources available
  • Feel like you’re a part of the Trinity community

If you have any difficulties attending your session, please contact studen2s@tcd.ie and we will make sure that you’re included in a group and that you get to catch up on anything you’ve missed.

5. Orientation Hub

The Orientation Hub will be open in the Exam Hall every day during Orientation Week from 10am-3pm.

As well as being the place to collect your ID Card, the Orientation Hub will also have a range of services on site to help you get set up and ready for your first week. So, if you have questions for the Academic Registry, IT Services, Trinity Global, the disAbility Service, or other areas, pop in to the Hub and ask!

6. Orientation Timetable

Please refer to this timetable for Orientation Week, rather than the timetable on my.tcd.ie or on the Trinity Live app.
