How does mentoring work?

You’ll meet your S2S Mentors in Freshers’ Week and they’ll make sure you know other people in your course before your classes even begin. They’ll keep in regular touch with you throughout your first year and invite you to events on and off campus. They’ll also give you useful information about your course and what to look out for. All our Mentors are students who have been through first year and know exactly what it feels like, so you never have to worry about asking them a question or talking to them about anything that’s worrying you.

The title reads Mentoring: How it Works. There is an S2S logo in the top right-hand corner. The infographic follows a blue stick figure representing a new student at Trinity who is learning about the S2S mentor programme. The little drawings are visual representations of the accompanying text. The text reads: Not sure where to start when you come to Trinity? Lots of people feel that way, that’s why we have the S2S mentoring programme. Your first mentor meet-up is part of your orientation timetable. Make sure you attend so you can meet your mentors and get to know your group members. Mentors are fellow students who will give you tours, introduce you to classmates, and answer any questions you have. Then they’ll stay in touch by email, invite you to events and socials, and share all the tips and tricks they’re learned since arriving themselves. Helping you on your own path to success! In the footer there is contact information for S2S. There is a link to their website, www.tcd.ie/student2student, their email address student2student@tcd.ie, and their phone number 01 896 2658. Underneath there are two small social media logos representing Facebook and Instagram
