As School Manager Olive manages the delivery of the high-quality administrative service that supports the day-to-day smooth running of the school as well as its longer-term strategic planning and development processes. She is responsible for financial planning and budget management; HR and staff management; promotion, marketing and commercialisation; relationship management and strategic and operational planning. Olive was previously Manager of the School of Social Work and Social Policy and held positions in the School of Computer Science and Statistics, the Department of Economics and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She holds undergraduate qualifications in Accountancy and Economics, and postgraduate qualifications in Management and HR from University College Cork and the Open University. -

As School Programmes Coordinator, Alex is responsible for providing a comprehensive support service to students and those who deliver their programmes. She is part of the Programmes Administration Team, working closely with the School Programmes Manager to ensure the School of Social Sciences & Philosophy provides an excellent student experience across its undergraduate and postgraduate portfolios. Alex studied Early Childhood Education and Therapeutic Pedagogy at the University of Salamanca (Spain) where she is from. After completing her undergraduate degree, Alex moved to Ireland and worked as an Early Years Educator in a creche in Dublin before taking up the role of Executive Officer in the Department of Economics in the School of Social Sciences & Philosophy which led her to complete a Diploma in Office Administration at University College DUblin, and to her current role as School Programmes Coordinator. -

As Alumni Development Manager, Katy is responsible for building a vibrant alumni community within the school. Her role involves event coordination, networking facilitation, improving digital communication strategies, and enhancing the visibility of the School's alumni activities, ensuring a strong and engaging network for former students. In her second role as Philosophy External Relations Officer, Katy develops and leads a variety of marketing and communications initiatives, supporting the development of a cohesive identity for the Department of Philosophy and building its reputation for high-quality teaching and research excellence. Katy holds an undergraduate qualification in History & Politics from University College Dublin, and postgraduate qualifications in Information & Library Studies from Aberystwyth University and Public Relations from the Fitzwilliam Institute. She is also a qualified mediator and conflict coach. -

As Project Manager Jemimah manages several projects, including the School Review and the Athena SWAN Award application. She leads the development, compilation and review of the School Review Self-Assessment Report and works alongside the Director of EDI to support the implementation of the Athena SWAN gender equality action plan and the development of future plans. She also works as project manager supporting an ERC research project in the Department of Political Science. Jemimah originally studied Literature and Politics at the University of Manchester. She completed a Masters and PhD in Trinity, and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher, an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work and Social Policy and the Department of Sociology, and as Research Fellow in the Trinity Centre for Gender Equality and Leadership, before taking up her current role as a Project Manager. -

Eduardo studied Law at University San Martin de Porres in Lima and holds a specialisation in bidding. He worked as a legal advisor for an advertising company before taking up the role of Executive Officer at Trinity College Dublin. -

Martina is the administrator for BESS (Business, Economics and Social Studies) and PPES (Philosophy, Political Science, Economics and Sociology) degree programmes, assisting lecturers, tutors and over 1300 students. Her role covers everything from orientation, through to tutorial timetabling, student cases, transcripts, online module enrolment, managing the progression of all students through to the end of year Court of Examiner processing and ultimately timely calculation, confirmation and publication of results. Martina is Montessori qualified, has run her own business, and joined Trinity in 2006 after spending 10 years living and working in London. -

As Executive Officer in the Department of Philosophy, Alison provides administrative support to the students and staff involved with the postgraduate courses of MPhil and PhD. Her responsibilities are numerous, and include processing new applications, maintaining student records, preparing exam results and transcripts and any other matters relevant to the postgraduate programme. Alison has previous experience in various areas, including finance, retail, and administration. She also spent time working in Student Support Services in Trinity Business School. Alison has a degree in Irish Studies from Trinity College. -

In her role as Administrative Officer for the Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH), Sarah looks after the daily activities of the Centre including providing support for the CEPH directors, organising events, managing the Centre’s website, collaborating with colleagues across Trinity and at Queen’s University Belfast (CEPH’s co-location) and assisting in the management of the Centre’s human resources. She also has responsibility for the Centre’s budgeting, account management and financial reporting. Sarah completed her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth (now Maynooth University). Her other administrative roles have been based in arts and education. -

Andrew is the Research and Policy Officer for the Centre of Economics, Policy and History (CEPH), a centre of research excellence in economic history that was established between Trinity College Dublin and Queen's University Belfast. As Research and Policy Officer, Andrew is responsible for coordinating the outreach, data and research efforts of the Centre. This involves event organisation and planning, hosting events for the general public, research translation and dissemination, podcasting and more. Andrew originally studied economics and history at undergraduate level, before pursuing a masters and PhD in history. This role is his first position since achieving his doctorate, having been an active tutor and teaching assistant in both DCU and UCD throughout his postgraduate studies. -

As HR Manager Raquel oversees a range of internal HR processes related to the employee life cycle, including recruitment, induction, probation, promotion and termination. Raquel’s advises staff on Trinity’s HR policies, ensuring the School not only complies with employment legislation but also incorporates HR & Diversity best practices across its own processes. As Projects Manager, Raquel has led various initiatives such as the Athena SWAN Bronze application and the development of internal processes. Raquel holds a Bachelor’s and Licentiate Degree in History (UNESP), a Postgraduate in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise (UCD) and a CIPD Award in Employment Law and Employee Relations (NCI). Before joining the School in 2019, Raquel worked as a Recruitment Partner for the Corporate Services Division, Financial Services Division and the Faculty of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences in Trinity College. She also served as a Recruitment Specialist in GOAL Global, a not-for-profit organisation. -

As executive officer for the Department of Political Science, it is Alice's responsibility to provide administrative support to the staff and students of the undergraduate programme. This generally consists of preparing exam papers and results, maintaining module records, timetabling, updating the department's website and responding to queries from both students and staff. Before joining TCD, Alice spent the last four years working towards completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Drama and Film at UCD. During this time, she was employed as a patient engagement administrator for the Diabetic Retinal Screening Programme. -

As HCI Programmes Coordinator, Michael manages the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy CPD micro-credential courses alongside the Postgraduate in Applied Social Data Science programme, delivered by the Department of Political Science. Amongst his other administrative duties, Michael supervises the marketing, promotion, and logistics of the programmes in his management. In addition to this, Michael works closely with Programme Directors to recruit prospective students to Trinity College. Michael originally studied Telecommunications Engineering at Regent University, College of Science and Technology. He completed a Masters in Technological University Dublin and worked in Trinity College Dublin as the Executive Officer (Undergraduate) and Student Recruitment & Admissions Officer in the Political Science Department and STEM Faculty respectively, before taking up his current role as HCI Programmes Coordinator. Michael strives to be excellent in his administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the academic programmes in his management. -

Shane leads activities that support the development of a cohesive identity for the School. These include communications, events, data management, internationalisation, and the promotion of key courses. He works closely with the School Manager and the Director of Global Relations to implement strategy in line with the School’s goals and the TCD Strategic Plan. Shane also serves as the Purchase Order Administrator for the School. Shane grew up in the US and studied Economics and Political Science at the University of Central Florida. He started his career in finance in the US before transferring to Dublin in 2010. Shane worked in a number of roles in the financial services industry in Dublin before transitioning into educational administration. Shane also holds a degree in Project Management from TU Dublin and a PDip in Leadership & Management from UCD. -

Carly previously studied for her BA in Visual Merchandising and Display in D.I.T. Grangegorman. She went on to work for various retailers as a Visual Merchandiser, Supervisor and Assistant Manager, before changing her career and working as a Customer Service Administrator for an Import and Export company. -

As School Programmes Manager, Anya works closely with academic and administrative staff across all departments in the school to plan and manage the effective delivery of the School’s full suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including CPD and HCI courses, as well as the School’s extensive Study Abroad programme for inbound and outbound students. Anya has held previous positions in Trinity Business School and on the TILDA research project based in the School of Medicine. Anya is a former graduate of the BESS programme in Trinity, specialising in Business and Economics and holds a postgraduate Masters in Business Studies (HRM) from University College Dublin. -

Originally from Galway, Lorraine holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and more recently a CIPD Award in Employment Law and Employee Relations. Lorraine has amassed over fifteen years of experience in HR management across various industries. Lorraine’s approach to human resources management emphasises a people-centred and solution-oriented mindset in pursuit of creating a positive working environment that aligns with the values of our School. -

Lee manages Economics Research for the Department of Economics. This includes administrative tasks for the Economics Seminar Series, as well as other seminars, conferences and events. She also manages the promotion of departmental research through social media, the departmental website and Trinity Economic Papers. She is also a member of the External Relations team, promoting departmental research. Lee came to the department with a background in publishing. She was an editor at an educational publishing house in Dublin for five years and spent some time as a freelance editor for other second- and third-level publications before taking up her current role. Lee has a degree in English Studies from Trinity College. -

Chris looks after the administration for TRiSS, a Social Sciences research unit that provides support and services to 8 member schools. She is responsible for managing space resources, (including the Seminar Room and Boardroom), grants administration, and events organisation. Her role requires management of research software site licences including managing relationships with various stakeholders across all areas of College. She also looks after budgeting and produces financial overviews and projections for TRiSS. Prior to joining TCD, Chris worked in both the public and private sectors in the fields of Banking, Insurance, Education, Communications, and IT, in the United Kingdom and Australia. She also ran her own business for a number of years. Chris read Economics, English, and Journalism at the University of Queensland, Australia. She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Marketing and Human Resources from Bond University, Australia. -

In her role as Executive Officer in the Department of Economics, Paula provides administrative support for the undergraduate Economics teaching programmes, particularly the joint honours students, from admissions through to graduation. She deals with student queries, particularly those from joint honours students, and supporting visiting students, as well as Trinity students who are studying abroad. Paula also supports the lecturers and course directors, ensuring programme handbooks and the website are updated, and providing comprehensive administrative back-up and coordinating with colleagues across the School. Originally from Spain, Paula has been living in Ireland since 2018. -

As an Executive Officer in the Economics Department Niamh aims to provide excellent administrative support for the MSc Economic Policy programme, her role involves ensuring all administrative milestones for the programme are met on time. Niamh also provides administrative support for the seminar series programme and deals with any ad hoc tasks that the head of department allocates. Niamh originally studied Marketing and Advertising and completed a diploma in Dublin Business School. She worked as a Grants Administrator in Enterprise Ireland, and as a Programme Administrator at Science Foundation Ireland before relocating to Germany. There she worked as a Project Manager for German brands at international trade fairs. On her return to Ireland she began her current role as an Executive Officer. -

Fiona currently works in the Department of Sociology where she is responsible for all administrative functions and daily running of the Department including the financial purchasing and organisation of all Department events. Additionally, Fiona manages all aspects related to both undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes. The PG programme comprises two distinct master programmes and the PG research students. Fiona has strong connections to the Gaeltacht region and possesses a profound appreciation for the Irish language and pursued her education at Coláiste Teicniúil na Gaillimhe reading for foundation level degree – Staidear Gno & Gaelilge. She also holds a certificate qualification in Office Administration from Dorset College. She has also previously worked as a ‘cúntóir’ at the Gaeltacht and in both the public and private sectors. -

She is also a member of the new communications team to cultivate new ways to promote departmental research. Neasa came to the department with a background in project management, as well as office management across multiple sectors (animation, visual arts, heritage and charity sectors). She has an undergraduate degree in Fine Art from Technological University Dublin and a MBA from University of Wales Trinity Saint David. -

Sarah is also responsible for providing support around the Monday Seminar Series and Friday Seminar Series in the Department of Political Science. Sarah received a 1 Class Honours BA (International) Business and Spanish (Double Honours) Degree from Maynooth University. She gained invaluable experience working closely with the Personal Assistant to the CEO in Dublin Dental University Hospital. She held positions throughout Trinity College in Human Resources, Computer Science and Statistics, the Department of Philosophy and the School Office in the School of Social Sciences and Philosophy before taking up her current role. -

Tara manages the administration for the MSc in Economics and the PhD Economics programme, and performs a wide range of administrative tasks, including dealing with all the queries relating to the programmes; supporting the progression of students; assisting with exams and assessment processes; and preparing letters and transcripts for previous, current and incoming students. She works closely with the Course Directors and the Head of Department, providing logistical support for external examiners and also oversees the financial processes for PhD stipends and Teaching Assistant payroll. Originally from Offaly, Tara joined the School professional administrative team in 2022, having previously studied Animal Care.
