Welcome to Trinity Barbell Club
Join Our Team: Discover strength and community at Trinity Barbell, the Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting club of Trinity College Dublin. Since our establishment in 2014, we have supported a range of athletes from beginners to seasoned competitors. We have also had the privilege to support national champions and record breakers, to international competitors within our club.
Participation and Training: We welcome all who are interested in weightlifting and powerlifting to join our club as well as anyone interested in trying it for the first time. We have our own equipment for use by members only. We run open-style training sessions where you can attend and freely move through your own program or one of the basic lifting programs we provide. There are always plenty of experienced lifters at training happy to help new members learn and improve.

Inclusive Environment: Trinity Barbell prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. We welcome members of all skill levels and backgrounds, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the club's success. Our inclusivity as a club is important to us and therefore we strive to create a welcoming community for all who choose to join. This is supported by our 'Code of Conduct' which is enacted by our committee each year. We also have an Inclusion Officer elected each year to oversee the overall inclusion and welfare of our club and its members.
Social Events and Activities: Along with training, we aim at hosting talks/workshops to benefit our members. We also host events to support those who wish to try their hand at competing, like our annual mock meet. Beyond training we host various social events throughout the year. These range from relaxed get togethers to our anticipated annual ball, BarBall. These events are perfect opportunities to learn and connect with fellow members and also enhance your university experience.
