Welcome to Dublin University AFC
Join Our Team: Founded in 1883, Dublin University AFC is Ireland's oldest football club, renowned for its rich history of success and tradition. Notable recent achievements include winning the Harding Cup in 2018—for the first time since 1997—and the Farquhar Cup in 2020. We were also finalists in the CUFL Premier Division, the Collingwood cup, and the Farquhar Cup in 2024 and we hope to continue to build on this success.
Club Structure: The club operates four different teams:
1. The Sunday Senior Leinster Senior League (LSL) team who play in the Sunday 1a league.
2. The Saturday LSL team who play in the Saturday Major 1C league.
3. The CUFL Premier division University team (largely consists of players from the LSL 1a team and some high quality players who do not play for the LSL team)
4. The CUFL “B”/freshers team, which play in the CUFL league and also the Harding Cup which is a tournament specifically for first year college students.
Participation and Training: We invite all who are interested in football to join our club. These sessions are great for developing skills, staying fit, and forming new friendships.

Registration and Fees: An annual membership fee is required to join. This contributes to club operations, the payment of referees, coaches and certain event participation. Erasmus exchange students should check at the sports centre reception regarding any additional fees required for facility use.
Commitment to Inclusion: At Trinity, we encourage participation from everyone, regardless of skill level or previous experience. Our club is a supportive environment where every member is valued and has the opportunity to contribute and grow.
Social Events and Activities: Besides competitions and training, we regularly organize social events to integrate members and celebrate our achievements. These events are perfect opportunities to connect with other students and expand your social network at the university.
