Trinity Sport is excited to announce the launch of ReActive8: ‘Trash to Treasure’ Sport and Physical Activity Edition, a unique donation and sustainability initiative promoting accessibility and sustainability in sports. This new event allows students, staff, and the wider Trinity community to donate, re-gift, share, and reuse sports clothing and equipment. By participating, you can declutter your space, discover new sports gear and equipment, and contribute to a more sustainable campus environment.
ReActiv8 Event Details:
Donation Period:
Dates: 17th – 31st January 2025
Drop-off Location: Trinity Sport Centre Reception (during opening hours)
Oxfam Ireland will provide drop-off donation bins for smaller items; larger items may require staff assistance.
ReActive8 Event Day:
Date: Thursday, February 6, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Ancillary Hall, 1st Floor, Trinity Sport Centre

The ReActive8 Event on Thursday, 6th February will include a collection zone where donated items will be available for reuse for FREE. Oxfam Ireland will also be hosting a Vintage Pop-Up store featuring unique vintage bargains.
What Can You Donate?
Accepted Items:
- Sports clothing and activewear
- Sport and fitness equipment
- Fitness wearables
- Clean, washed clothing in good condition
- Items in good working order
Items Not Accepted:
- Non-sport clothing and activewear
- Yoga mats, towels, or absorbent equipment
- Personal hygiene items, undergarments, or swimwear
- Stained, unwashed, or damaged clothing
- Equipment that is broken or non-functional
