Power, Conflict, and Resistance

The Power, Conflict, Resistance cluster grew out of the MPhil in Race, Ethnicity, and Conflict. It brings together staff and research students interested in racism and colonialism, the struggle against them and its vicissitudes.

Overview

Three members of the Department are also founding members of the Centre for Post Conflict Justice: David Landy on Israel/Palestine, Andrew Finlay on the British/Irish peace process and other consociational arrangements, and Anne Holohan on Kosovo. David Landy focuses on solidarity and distant issue social movements, while Andrew Finlay is interested in the role of the state and state building in conflict and post-conflict situations.
