Course Structure
The MSc in Comparative Social Change is a one-year, full-time programme designed to provide students with the theoretical frameworks and practical research skills needed to address global social change.
Students must accumulate a total of 90 ECTS to complete the programme. The course structure includes:
Taught Modules (60 ECTS)
- Three mandatory core modules.
- Seven elective modules, of which students select three (each worth 10 ECTS).
Dissertation (30 ECTS)
- Students complete an independent research project, culminating in a dissertation of up to 20,000 words, which should be submitted no later than 31 August.
- The pool of supervisors for the dissertation project is all full-time staff from Trinity's Department of Sociology and all full-time staff from the School of Sociology at UCD.
