Course Structure and Handbook
The MSc in Comparative Social Change is a one-year full time course which provides students with both the theoretical frameworks and practical research skills necessary to understand the processes and pressing issues presented by global social change. The taught part of the course, worth 60 ECTS, is comprised of three core modules and seven elective modules, from which you chose three (each worth 10 ECTS). In addition, students complete a dissertation, not exceeding 20,000 words, which should be submitted no later than 31 August. The pool of supervisors for the research dissertation, which counts for 30 ECTS, is all full-time staff from Trinity's Department of Sociology and all full-time staff from the School of Sociology at UCD. Students are required to accumulate 90 ECTS in total.
