TCD Researchers Awarded Funding from Health Research Board of IrelandAn interdisciplinary team including Prof Richard Layte (Head of Sociology) and Dr Cathal McCrory (TILDA Senior Research Fellow) have been awarded €750,000 from the Health Research Board of Ireland. The project investigates an allostatic load framework for understanding social differences in health and mortality drawing on The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing.

Sociology Welcomes First MSc in Comparative Social Change StudentsThe first intake of the new joint MSc in Comparative Social Change, directed by TCD Head of Sociology Professor Daniel Faas, has commenced their studies today. 12 students from six different countries will study both in Trinity and University College Dublin over the coming year.
