Languages and Levels
The Languages for Employability Programme currently provides credit-bearing and optional language modules in the following languages:
Mandarin Chinese | Complete Beginners (A1 level) |
Japanese | Complete Beginners (A1 level) |
Korean | Complete Beginners (A1 level) |
French | Advanced (C1 level) |
Spanish | Advanced (C1 level) |
German | Advanced (C1 level) |
All taught postgraduate (PGT) students may take one or more of the language modules as an optional, not-for-credit class.
Some taught postgraduate students enrolled in the Schools below may check whether they are eligible to take a language module in this programme for 5 credits (ECTS).
All Trinity PhD students may take one or more of the language modules as part of Trinity’s Structured PhD requirements, for 5 credits. PhD students may also take these modules as an optional, not-for-credit, class.

‘The part I enjoyed most about the HCI course was the mixture of language and culture: the teacher alternated grammar explanations with insights into the country's culture and lifestyle. I particularly enjoyed that the assessment let us select the topic, so that I could choose the closest topic to my own research interests (business).’
