Wendy Rogers
Student in the department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies
Wendy Kathleen Rogers is a student in the department of Clinical Speech and Language Studies. She previously worked in professional roles internationally as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages, a trainer of entry level teachers and later as a research assistant in a clinical setting. Wendy's focus in terms of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion relates to gender equality and the presence of women in science; a goal of true EDI for women can only be achieved where no outright personal compromises are accepted as a norm. Wendy is also an active member of the Vegan Society at Trinity and is specifically committed to the position of veganistic living, which considers the rights of fellow species against the backdrop of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. As a student of the school of linguistic, speech and communication sciences, Wendy is interested in the position of multilingualism, particularly how the linguistic profile and preferences of a person are addressed in educational, professional and social care settings.
