Suzanne Carey 
Originally from Listowel, Co. Kerry, Suzanne has been based full-time in Cork City since 2012. She has been involved with the Deaf Community since 2000. She graduated from the Centre for Deaf Studies (TCD) in 2006 with a Dip. in ISL/English Interpreting. Since then, she has worked in a wide variety of community settings, particularly education and healthcare.Suzanne has a Masters in PR with New Media (CIT/MTU, 2018), as well as a BA in Applied Languages (French/Spanish, DCU, 1999) following which she worked as a Spanish-English translator in Spain. She is the current chair of CISLI (Council of ISL Interpreters) (2024).
