SLD are running a series of services in the run-up to the exam period for all students. We'll cover everything you need to perform well on the day.
The exam period can be a stressful time of the year. We have a range of strategies and tips on planning your revision, practicing your exam performance and making sure that you give your best performance on the day.
Individual Support:
Are you about to sit exams? Drop in or book a slot with our advisors, who can offer you support with exam preparation strategies, stress management and on-the-day skills.
Exam Drop-in Clinic (in person)
Pop to House 47 on Wednesday 27th November at 3pm and sign your name on the sheet. Appointments last about 15mins and are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Exam Clinic (online)
Click here to book our online clinic - Wednesday 4th December - appointments last about 15mins and are booked in advance with a trained advisor.

- Procrastination & Concentration Live webinar (Friday 22 November 2024 @ 12:00) - This workshop will provide some tips to help you to improve your focus and overcome procrastination, by identifying barriers and exploring strategies to improve your productivity.
- Exam Skills Live Webinar (Wednesday 4 December 2024 @ 13:00) - In this workshop we explore strategies for performing in your exams, exam success factors, exam strategies. We will also look at effective ways to practice exam answers and manage your mental preparation.
- Exam Preparation & Revision Live Webinar (Thursday 5 December 2024 @ 14:00) - This workshop will cover ways to maximise your revision study time. Explore some scheduling tips and tools, and identify strategies to support retention, motivation and energy levels prior to exams.
- Write Here, Write Now- In the lead up to exams and assessment submission, it can be hard to motivate yourself to do that final push of work! Put aside 90 minutes this week to finish off assignments in a dedicated online space. This is an opportunity to motivate yourself to write or work on assignments due this term. Stay for part of or all of the session. An SLD advisor will be present to answer your questions in the chat box.
- Online resources - The SLD blackboard module contains lots of learning resources in the areas of exam skills, preparation, and time management as well as different examination formats.
- Recorded webinars - Here you will find our previously recorded webinars, including essay type exams, open book exams and managing exam stress.
