Abbas Ali O'Shea Bio
I am deeply honoured to introduce myself as a candidate for Seanad Éireann. Born in Baghdad, I have been welcomed to Ireland, where I have worked in the education sector for the last two decades. I first worked in teaching, lecturing, and coaching, and now work as Educational Consultant collaborating with the third level education sector to build relationships internationally and to bring inward investment.
My candidacy is driven by the belief that Ireland can build a bright future by embracing inclusivity and innovation.
My key Policy Priorities:
- Funding Ireland’s Future: Championing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from the Gulf countries to fuel Ireland’s education, infrastructure, and green energy sectors.
- Strengthening Commercial Ireland-Gulf Relations: Building stronger, connections to provide Irish businesses with new opportunities.
- Expanding Ireland’s Educational Reach: Advocating for policies that make Ireland an attractive global hub for education.
