The School of Computer Science and Statistics is pleased to announce the award of two 2022 Professor John G. Byrne Scholarships and the inaugural Fiserv Scholarship for Trinity Access students undertaking undergraduate degree programmes in the School. 

The 2022 Professor John G. Byrne Scholarships were awarded to Ha Ngoc Lu, Junior Freshman in Computer Science and Travis Yusuf, Junior Freshman in Computer Science and Business.

The Professor John G. Byrne Scholarship is an endowed scholarship fund that has been created with the generous support of Trinity alumni and friends, and the School wishes to extend sincere thanks to the supporters of this initiative.

The inaugural Fiserv Computer Science Scholarship at Trinity College Dublin is being awarded to Radi Adil, Junior Freshman in Computer Science.

Professor Gregory O’Hare, Head of School of Computer Science and Statistics said:

“I’m really delighted that we are awarding two Professor John G. Byrne Scholarships in 2022, which has been enabled by Trinity alumni and friends. I am particularly pleased that Fiserv has decided to support an undergraduate scholarship in Computer Science. By working together with industry, we can create a more diverse student population studying STEM undergraduate degree programmes and create the conditions for greater innovation and diversity in the workplace.”
