Research Interests
Dr O’Dwyer is a senior registrar in psychiatry of old age and a research clinician for BIOMARKAPD Ireland. She has undertaken clinical training in both Ireland and Australia. She returned home to Ireland in 2012 to pursue her research interests in the detection and management of neurodegeneration, particularly research focused on early detection with the use of biomarkers. She has a Msc in Neuroimaging for Research and a keen interest in CSF biomarkers in neurodegeneration. She is also currently involved in other research investigating drug treatment in Alzheimer’s disease, the NILVAD trial and research studies investigating the role of neuroimaging in neurodegeneration.
