Writing in the Middle East Monitor, Dr Browne and Dr Keelan highlight that, whilst local authorities have estimated the current death toll in Gaza to be in the region of 47,000, there is a growing consensus that this figure is a mere fraction of the overall total number of Palestinian men, women and children killed.
