On 17th and 18th October, thirty-five students from Peace Studies courses got the opportunity to experience first-hand the impact of peacebuilding as well as ongoing conflict legacies in Northern Ireland.
The group visited: the Turas Irish language centre in inner-East Belfast; the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont where they engaged in a Q&A with politicians; the 174 Trust social outreach in North Belfast; as well as Clonard Monastery, location of secret talks during the peace process. The group also explored on foot some of the most conflict-affected parts of the East, West, and North of the city.
