At the Arts and Humanities Research Festival (25-29 Sept) there will be an opportunity to hear about four fascinating areas of research taking place across our School. First up on Tuesday, Zohar Hadromi-Allouche presents ‘From the Bible to the Beatles’ a look at the Qur’an and modern Yiddish poetry. On Wednesday the programme features Linda Hogan, Professor of Ecumenics, speaking on ‘Securing Human Rights in the Anthropocene – the role of religion’. Brendan Browne shares his ‘Burn/t Out’ project highlighting the testimonies of people displaced during the Troubles. And finally on Wednesday evening there is a book launch and discussion of David Shepherd’s new publication, ‘King David, Innocent Blood and Bloodguilt’. Please note the book launch is sold out. There is no need to book for the others, simply turn up and enjoy! All events are in the Trinity Long Room Hub. Follow the link for the AHFest programme and times.
