Dr Brian Pennie, a former student and employee of Trinity, has created a 3-part documentary series for RTÉ exploring addiction; "Hooked: How Addiction Hijacks Your Brain."
This series aims to explore and interrogate the behaviours and neuroscience behind addiction and recovery. It delves into the personal stories of people who have suffered from addiction, including Dr Pennie’s own story of recovery and interviews leading experts on the subject. Many former and current staff of Trinity contributed to the programme, including Prof Jo-Hanna Ivers and from our own school of Psychology, Prof Ian Robertson & Prof Robert Whelan.
