A highlight of Innovation Week in Trinity is our Innovation Awards ceremony.
While Trinity is famous for its long history, replete with tradition and heritage, it is also a powerhouse of innovation, research and entrepreneurship.
In the past five years, Trinity has generated 25 spin-out companies, 288 invention disclosures, 124 licenses, 530 industry collaborations (45% with SMEs), and six former spin outs have been acquired for over €800M.
The Trinity Innovation Awards took place in Portal this year and recognised exceptional achievements in research and innovation in the university across 11 categories, including Student Entrepreneur of the Year, an Exceptional Achievement Award, and the Provost’s Innovation Award.
