The Provost is now a “Teddy Bear Doctor”. The qualification was added to Linda’s CV as she completed her training at the Trinity Teddy Bear Hospital, hosted by the TCD Paediatric Society.  

The society host this fantastic educational and interactive event each year and invites children and their families to bring their teddy bears for a check-up. Each teddy is carefully examined by the students at a variety of stations, including brain health, surgery, physio and a sensory session. 

The aim of the event is to help children feel more comfortable about going to the doctor by getting them used to different sights and sounds that are typically found in a medical or hospital setting. The event is also a fundraiser for Bumbleance, The Children’s Ambulance Service.
