It was a joyous end to the summer as Trinity’s Disability Service (the disAbility Hub) celebrated 24 brilliant students who completed this year’s Inclusive Internship Programme.
The programme, now in its second year, aims to empower disabled students by providing them with summer internship places in departments across Trinity.
Not only does this fantastic initiative give students valuable work experience and opportunities for professional development, it also emphasises the importance of championing disabled employees across Trinity.
Speaking about the impact that this programme and other initiatives run by the disAbility Hub have had on Trinity, Linda said “you can see how that [the Trinity Ability Co-op] has influenced so many clubs and societies and, indeed, how we all think. That’s the way you make real change – embedding into, and become part of, the structures.”
Congratulations to all of the students who took part in the Inclusive Internship Programme this year!
