About the challenge

The Generative AI for Good Innovation Challenge unfolds as a two-month blended initiative, inviting students from across Ireland to engage in innovative problem-solving using Generative AI technology. In addition to mentorship, coaching, and access to an online portal with a self-guided playbook, participants will receive entrepreneurial tools and knowledge through a series of in-person workshops.

How it works

Kick-off Event:

The challenge begins with an exciting in-person kick-off event where participants can meet face-to-face, build the team, network, and gain insights into the challenge objectives and rules.

Workshops:

Throughout the challenge, a series of in-person workshops will be conducted. These workshops will cover various aspects of idea building (Design Thinking, Lean Canvas and Pitching), equipping participants with the knowledge they need to excel.

*A kick-off event and 3 in-person workshops will be open for all (participants & other students). Potential participants will have the opportunity to join any time and create their teams during the workshops. All the teams will be onboarded to the GEN AI 4 Good Playbook in the Open Incubator Portal.

Mentorship:

Onboarded teams will be able to book online mentorship sessions with the mentors representing a diverse range of industries, including technical mentors with expertise in generative artificial intelligence and general business mentors.

Idea Submission:

To submit a finalized idea, teams should record a video pitch that covers the elements of the Lean Model Canvas. Upload this video to YouTube and include it in your venture profile. As the last step, each team needs to invite the judges to access their venture profile. The judges will evaluate the submissions and select 10-15 teams for the final showcase. The ideas will be assessed based on various criteria, including desirability, feasibility, viability, innovativeness, and the quality of the presentation.

Blended Pitch Deck Preparation Sprint:

Selected teams will receive an exclusive invitation to participate in a one-week intensive pitch deck preparation sprint. During this sprint, teams will have the opportunity to refine and polish their pitch decks. Expert mentors will provide valuable feedback on various aspects, including content, design, and public speaking skills.
