Course Overview
The M.Sc. in Entrepreneurship of Smart Medicines programme is designed to provide a new language to those coming from a non-biology background in drug discovery and pharmaceutical development. The course is also designed to provide a language of business and commercialisation to those knowledgeable in the area of biology. This course provides training in the area of drug development, biotech, pharma, and commercialisation.

Course Structure
The Masters programme is worth 90 ECTS, comprised of 12 x 5 ECTS taught modules with an additional 30 ECTS research project. Students can choose to exit with a Postgraduate Diploma worth 60 ECTS created by the 12 5-ECTS taught modules without completing the research project.
Course Content
Students take the following modules: Biology for the Entrepreneur; Scientific Transformation of an Entrepreneur; Disease Indications & the Market I; Disease Indications & the Market II; Drug Development - The classics of large Pharma; Drug Development - Innovators and Disruptors: Clinical Development: Regulators and Manufacturers; Medical Devices & Biopharmaceuticals; Product & Company Licensing, Mergers & Valuations; Enterprise Development – Startups; Enterprise Development – IP and Leadership; and the Research Project.
Students will be full-time and complete all modules in one year.

Admission Requirements
Applicants will be expected to have an Honours Bachelor's degree at 2.1 (or above) in Science (such as cell biology, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology), Health Sciences (such as medicine, nursing, allied health) or Business (including entrepreneurship, innovation, venture capital). Applicants with other primary degrees will also be considered.
Other applicants without a primary degree may be considered by the Dean of Graduate Studies in exceptional circumstances based on workplace experience.
English Language Requirements
All applicants to Trinity are required to provide official evidence of proficiency in the English language. Applicants to this course are required to meet Band B (Standard Entry) English language requirements.
