Ireland ideally located on the edge of Europe, is less than an hour from London, less than two hours from Paris or Brussels and just six hours from the east coast of the US by air. Dublin Airport is Ireland's busiest airport, with 55 airlines flying to over 190 destinations, including direct scheduled daily flights from North America, mainland Europe, Britain and regular flights from the Middle East.

Dublin International Airport is only 12km from the city centre and the city itself is small and compact, and is tailor-made for carefree exploring by foot. It also has anexcellent transport system, which includes an urban rail system (DART), a stylish new tram network (Luas) and an extensive citywide and national bus service. Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced by international standards.
