TYPE report 2019
Poster project
The students engaged in a range of lectures and demonstration classes in the mornings and were given time to pursue their own independent research project in the afternoon. The students were encouraged to research in a specific area with the help of the TCD undergraduate student mentors. Twelve research groups with ~4 members per group produced research posters on topics ranging from Nanomaterials to Supernovae. We were very impressed with the standard of posters produced and we hope the students got an idea of what academic research involves.
Poster project prizes
At the end of the week a poster session was held which was attended by member of staff and the undergraduate and postgraduate community. The posters were judged by an academic panel and 4 prizes were awarded; winner and runner up for content, and winner and runner up for design.
