The international conference “Emergence of Classicality: New Perspectives on Measurements in Quantum Theory" (EoC24) took place in Dublin at Trinity College from the 15th to 19th of July 2024 and brought together leading experts as well as younger scientists working on topics in the foundation of quantum physics.
The conference was devoted to quantum measurement, quantum paradoxes, the emergence of classicality and objectivity, quantum thermodynamics, equilibration of closed systems and related experiments. The aim was to create an opportunity for fruitful exchanges on foundational and philosophical aspects regarding quantum measurement and quantum thermodynamics.
It was an in person conference (no online/hybrid contributions) with invited and contributed talks, and poster presentations.
The conference was supported by the John Templeton Foundation and arranged by Trinity College Dublin and Technical University of Vienna.
