Alumni to Student Careers Networking Event

The School of Physics hosts our annual Alumni Careers Networking event for Junior Sophister Physics, Physics and Astrophysics, Theoretical Physics and Nanoscience students. This event is held in February/March of every year and is run in conjunction with the Trinity Alumni Office and the Careers Advisory Service. The event aims to develop our students’ knowledge of the labour market and to showcase the breadth of career paths and experience that our physics graduates have accumulated since graduation.

What's involved?

Alumni should have a degree from the School of Physics (Physics, Theoretical Physics, Physics and Astrophysics, Nanoscience - Physics and Chemistry of Advanced Materials). The School is happy to have graduates from both in and out of the scientific field, including research, data analytics, business, finance, education, health services, law, science communication and industry.

The event comprises of two parts, our Alumni Career Stories and a short Alumni to Student networking reception. At the Alumni Career Stories, graduates speak about their career path to date. This may include their greatest career decision, regret or their best piece of advice for a graduate trying to establish themselves in the respective field. This is followed by an informal networking reception so that students have the opportunity to find out more about certain career paths.

How do I sign up?
