Caleb Cartwright 1738 -1743

Caleb Cartwright was born around 1696 in Cork. He entered Trinity College on 7^th July 1716. He graduated BA in 1720, MA in 1723 and DD (divinity) in 1735. He was elected a Fellow in 1724. He was Donegall Lecturer in Mathematics (1735-1738) and the second Erasmus Smith’s Professor of Natural and Experimental Philosophy (1738 – 1743). He became Senior Dean in 1737. He died on 25^th August 1763.
